Teaching your little one to read can be exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. Watching your Kindergartner recognize and sound out words can bring you so much joy. The fear; however, is whether or not you’ve chosen the proper reading tool for your child. The wrong program could stunt your child’s progress and leave you unsure of how to proceed. With so many kindergarten reading programs out there, it’s difficult to determine which ones are worth the money and represent the best fit for your child. Parents who are comfortable with developing a customized program may enjoy the process of scouring through a plethora of options. On the other hand, those who aren’t as confident in the curriculum building process may benefit from kindergarten reading programs that are designed to lay a solid foundation.

A Look Inside the All About Reading Pre-reading Program
What does this program really have to offer?
This pre-reading program provides two options if you’re interested in purchasing full package: Basic and Deluxe.
While both packages provide great materials, I personally believe the Basic package will get you started on the right path. The highlights of the Basic package include:
- A full Teacher’s Manual
- A full Student Packet
- Letter Sound app
- Letters activity book
- Two read-aloud books
- A Total of 48 lessons including games, crafts, and stories
The Basic Package has a price tag of $79.95, which I think is quite reasonable considering all of the materials provided in the program. You know I’m an advocate for keeping home school curriculum costs on the low side, and reading is an area that requires substantial focus throughout the home school journey. The All About Reading Pre-reading Program provides an afforable option.
Additionally, I really like the fact that you can watch helpful videos for each product (packages and individual items) to get a better idea of what each items entails. Best of all, they also offer free resources including articles, activities, special reports, and applications, so you can sample their product offerings prior to buying.
All About Reading has some great reading curriculum materials to help your little learner. I encourage you to check them out and see for yourself, especially if you are looking for a program to guide you through teaching your little one the joy of reading.
